 both towards and within the disabled community.

FUNNY/REHAB features three short plays from New York playwright,
 Rich Orloff’s collection, FUNNY AS A CRUTCH
 and an excerpt from Bay Area playwright Michaela Goldhaber’s 
absurdist comedy with musical interludes, THE REHAB FOLLIES.



East West Connection’s producers are New York based 
Carrie Edel Isaacman and San Francisco based Diana Brown

The plays:

THE NEW LAND by Rich Orloff: 
A version of the first pilgrims coming to America but with disabilities. Another challenge of adjustment is the character of God making sure that the people on the land and the newcomers to the new land all adjust well.


JUST ONE OF THOSE THINGS by Rich Orloff: 
The story of an executive who is interviewing a man with a sense of humor that is more than she bargained for.



DUTCH TREAT by Rich Orloff :
 A story of American tourists in Amsterdam at lunch and the surprises they find.



THE REHAB FOLLIES by Michaela Goldhaber: 
An absurdist comedy with musical interludes about a young woman's adventures recovering from a stroke.
